Become a tour guide

What you get

• New friends and more people to play with.
• If you create content, your stream, channel and Discord are promoted on your profile.
• Up to three videos on your profile that show what you can do.

What we ask

• You are 18 or older.
• You understand that signing up means you will get requests and agree to take people on tours.
• You never charge for a tour and never ask for anyone's account or login.
• Your application is in English. Answers in other languages may be ignored.

How people reach you

Everything runs through the Tau Ceti Tours Discord, which keeps your personal handle off this website and away from spammers. You need a Discord account, but not your own server. Tourists post requests in a shared forum, and you pick up the ones you want. A private channel of your own is available if you ask.

How we vet guides

You log in with Discord when you apply. We then confirm who you are before approving you. Trusted guides may help with this. Approval is our call, and we may take a while.

Taking a break or leaving

Once approved, you get an email with a private link that hides your profile. You can unhide it within 31 days. After 31 days a hidden profile is deleted, and you would need to apply again. If we hide your profile or ban you, you can't undo that yourself, and we keep your Discord ID so you can't reapply.

Feedback and reports

Tourists can send you feedback directly, with their name hidden, so you can improve or tell us if something looks dodgy. Safety reports go only to us. We don't referee arguments between players and may ignore a dispute unless real proof is provided.

Your information

Public profiles can be read by search engines and AI tools. We may also use AI tools to help run this site, and we can't guarantee that what you submit will never be seen by an AI. You will tick separate boxes to confirm you understand this and how Discord is used. Our privacy page explains what we keep and for how long.
